The Level 4 cache fights are where players often discover that a cache label does not mean a short, cheap fight. The Cops and Military encounters are paired special cases, and both ask for stronger preparation than the Level 3 Charred version.

The important distinction is enemy composition. One encounter uses only Cops Infected, while the other uses only Military Infected. That makes loadout planning cleaner, but it also means the wrong weapon choice can be punished for the whole fight.

  • Level 4 includes two paired Battle for Cache encounters.
  • One special encounter is Cops-only.
  • The other special encounter is Military-only.
  • Both fights are ammunition and healing checks because the enemies are tougher than early route infected.

Bring enough ammunition to finish the fight instead of swapping to desperate melee trades halfway through. If your ranged option is weak, delay this route and improve through the Weapons Overview. A clean Level 4 cache run should have a defined exit route, a spare healing item, and an empty backpack plan for the reward.

If you are close to Level 5, study the Trasher Elite guide before pushing harder zones. The Military Base is also a good comparison point because it teaches sight-line discipline and ammo budgeting.
